Mountain Modern shares plans to double its footprint in the heart of Jackson, adding 59 rooms, studios and suites, indoor-outdoor community spaces, a social center, and more.

Mountain Modern announces an expansion and renovation following the acquisition of Jackson Hole Lodge – doubling its footprint to cover a full city block just steps from Town Square. Located in Jackson’s downtown corridor, the property’s expansion is expected to be completed in fall 2022 and will add 59 new rooms; an outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi; a whole new culinary concept; and a contemporary social hub for the modern adventurer featuring community space, lounge, fire pits and 19,000 square feet of additional outdoor space.

“Mountain Modern has remained a mainstay of playfulness and accessibility in Jackson Hole,” says Robert Nolan, co-creator of the concept launched in 2017. “Providing the perfect starting point for year-round adventure with its location and affordable rates, we’re excited to expand the property to create a social hub and destination for visitors and our local Jackson community.”

Designed by award-winning architecture and design firm TruexCullins, Mountain Modern’s functional yet contemporary destination-inspired design continues to be woven into the 59 new rooms to add to a new room count of 194. The new accommodations will include king-size bedrooms; studios with a full kitchen; double queen and king suites; and sprawling two-bedroom, two-story residential-style suites. These all-new suites can sleep up to eight people and feature kitchens, living rooms with fireplaces, separate bedrooms, private outdoor balconies and more, offering unparalleled layouts and premium amenities like no other in downtown Jackson.


Larger-than-life custom wallcoverings celebrating the Grand Teton backcountry and destination highlights, including local wildlife and Jackson’s world-class fly fishing, will give guests a true sense of home. belonging, while touches of the beloved red buffalo plaid – a Western motif donned by legendary cowboys of yesteryear – give the rooms a playful color palette. With the expansion will also come the introduction of “The Triple M,” a cutting-edge social hub brimming with comforts to encourage conversations and nurture connections among travelers. In the gathering space, guests will find a new culinary concept offering unconventional après-ski fare, seasonal cocktails and casual bites, as well as a market offering local take-out items and refreshments. Communal seating, co-working spaces and fire pits will transform the Triple M from day to night, as it opens up to a vast outdoor space perfect for lawn games, live music and a lounge area to welcome visitors to settling into “mountain time” on Arrivals.
